APPLICATION PROCESS WITH BIOMETRICS

Going to Germany? Follow below mentioned steps to apply for the visa:

 

Step 1 – Prepare your visa application

Please fill the visa application form and arrange the documents as per the checklist.

Step 2 – Submit your visa application

You can submit your visa application (Schengen visa) at BLS Visa Application with prior appointment. Please click here to schedule the appointment. Click here to find out where to submit your application and to learn about specific application procedures.

Due to local particularities handling and processing may vary slightly among the German Missions involved.

Your application will not be accepted in case the appointment is made under incorrect jurisdiction.

Step 3 – Payment of fee

You would be required to make the payment of visa fee, service fee (if not already paid at the time of appointment scheduling) & fee for optional service(s) if availed at the time of submission.

Step 4 - Biometrics enrolment

You would be required to give biometrics enrolment at the time of submission of your application in BLS Visa Application Centre.

Following are exempted from giving biometrics:

  • Children below the age of 12 years

  • If biometrics have been given in last 59 months

  • If you have temporary injuries on your finger, you are advised to wait until your injuries have been healed

Step 5 – Status tracking of your application

Your application will be sent to the competent authorities for decision making. The status of the application can be tracked through our website or you can avail SMS service. You will receive SMS alerts on the registered mobile number.

Step 6 – Collection of your passport

You can collect your passport from BLS visa application centre where the application was submitted or opt for courier at the time of submission for delivery of your passport at your desired address.

If you wish to collect your passport from visa application centre, please bring the following documents:

  • Original receipt

  • Passport photocopy

  • In case of travel agent or representative, authorization letter from the customer

  • ID proof of the representative or travel agent
