Postal Application for Schengen Visa
Germany’s visa applicants can apply for a Schengen visa handled by the German Embassy through courier if fingerprints from an earlier application for a Schengen visa have been recorded within the last 59 months.
Postal Application Payment Methods Accepted: Cash, Money Order, and Cashier’s Check. Please note, all payments must be made to: Consular Outsourcing BLS Services Inc.
*Additionally, in case of payment discrepancy or additional requested services, we can collect your payment electronically by phone, only accepting debit cards with authorization.
Please read all instructions carefully and acknowledge the following:
Visa applications should be submitted at least 20 days prior to the planned trip, as clearly stated in the checklist. Your signature on the application form has to be notarized by a notary public. The processing of your application can take up to 4 weeks starting from the time we receive your application; please allow an additional 2-4 business days for UPS shipping.
If you also want courier service to deliver your passport back, you need to download and sign the courier forms, the Health Declaration Regarding the Travel Health Insurance, and the Visa Declaration of Accuracy in addition to your application documents.

Procedure for Applicants with Previous Fingerprint Records:
Step 1: Confirm Application Details
- Confirm questions 26 and 27 in the visa application form. Please also provide a copy of the last Schengen visa issued within the past 59 months where your biometrics were recorded.
- If you have confirmed in questions 26 and 27 that your fingerprints were recorded within the last 59 months, you may submit your signed application (printed from the Videx.diplo.de system), passport, and all supplementary documents via courier mail service (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx).
- If confirmation is not received, you cannot use the courier service option, and you must personally apply at the BLS International Germany Visa Application Center
Step 2: Contact BLS International Germany Visa Application Center
- Before using the courier mail service, contact BLS International Germany Visa Application Center customer care at +16099002509.
- BLS International staff will request a copy of your Schengen visa and will explain the process, including documentation, payment procedures, and proof of payment for the service fee to BLS International.
Step 3: Gather and Prepare Your Documents Application Center
- Ensure all documents are in order. Forward the complete packet to the BLS VAC.
- All signature pages of the application form (pages 4, 5, 6) must have a certified signature notarized by a public notary. Include notarized copies of your resident proof, identification, and permanent residence or US visa (by a US notary public). Original documents are not necessary.
- If applying with a representative, please complete the Authorization Form.
- The money order or cashier’s check should include the embassy visa fees, BLS service charges, and any additional value-added fees (if opting for courier or SMS tracking). Refer to the correct fee structure for Business / Tourism / Visitor Visa, Airport Transit Visa. Make the cashier’s check or money order payable to Consular Outsourcing BLS Services Inc.
Application Submission:
- Send your application package to the Visa Application Center according to your jurisdiction.
- After case registration at the VAC, the application file will be forwarded to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany for further processing.
- Once the Embassy has handled your case, the response (in a sealed envelope) will be returned to the VAC and subsequently sent to you via courier mail service.

1. Kindly note, if it appears that the fingerprints are not recorded or present in the Schengen Visa System, or if the earlier fingerprints are in a condition/quality that cannot be used, you will have to come in person to the BLS VAC to have the fingerprints recorded or re-recorded.

5. Note: Processing time is from 2 up to 4 weeks according to the consulate. It's calculated after submission, not after receiving at the BLS. Also, 1-2 working days are needed after submission.
